Bellafea is from North Carolina, originating in Wilmington, now based in Chapel Hill. We embrace musical minimalism, opting for dual instrumentation (electric guitar and drums) and rejecting traditional arrangement - the notion that complexity exists merely in quantity.


What we mean is: we like space. the challenge of using two instruments to create something bigger. Like emotion. Like the nameless, intangible things. Like the things that live deep between bone and muscle. Like the hurricane in your chest. Relentless. Questions and answers. Like punk. Spaes and colors. Like double dutch at 4pm in the rain.
